Ok.I talked smack about Beckham on the World Cup Preview show I did with Bob Bichler on the Ordinary Average Guy. I know full well that Beckham could totally kick my butt on the football field, but I doubted his ability to kick the butt of other players on the pitch.
After the shot from Match 51, England vs. Ecuador, the lone goal came from Becks free kick. Totally sweet shot. Totally sweet victory.
As atonement for my comments, I've posted a picture of his kick as my desktop background.
